Chapter 2 - Sabor

A rustling in the bushes catches your attention, as Jxk tries to pry your hands off.

"Okay okay, you win, hello, down here, yo! Let go!" You finally let her go, as she gasps for air.

"Sorry, Jxk." You smiled sheepishly at her.

"What kind of animal are you?" She joked. You heard the rustling, again and looked at the bushes cautiously.

"You know I've been thinking lately that maybe ___ could be some subspecies of elephant." The nervous elephant stated. His voice was very familiar and you began to suspect that he was Lithuania. I mean he's nervous and sounds a bit Russian, it just had to be.

"What are you, crazy? An elephant?" Jxk rolled her eyes in disbelief. You suddenly began to see a shape move along the forestry and carefully stepped closer.

"Listen to me, think about it, she enjoys a peanut, I enjoy a peanut." You wanted to facepalm, but Jxk did for you. You looked through the bush and found nothing. Confused you walked back to the two.

"She ooks nothing like ya!" Jxk exclaimed. You then heard a low growl. Before you knew it a leopard burst out of the bushes and launched itself towards you. A much larger gorilla got between you two and began attack the leopard himself. You heard shrieks from the other gorillas, as they took cover.

You followed, but couldn't help, but feel you needed to help him. With hasty decision making, you found a long sturdy stick and found a sharp, narrow rock to tie to the end of it. You heard roaring and what sounded like the tearing of flesh, and decided to hurry. You finished your spear and you looked over to see the leopard swipe at the gorilla with a snarl. His claws sunk into the skin with ease and left massive claw marks.

The leopard proceeded to pounce on the gorilla sending him down. It didn't look like the gorilla could protect himself any longer, so you decided to provide some aid. You jumped into battle, shoving the leopard off the gorilla. The leopard glared and roared, before he lunged at you. You sidestepped and shoved the spear forward. He evaded it and swiped at you with his claws.

He caught your arm and you hissed in pain. You quickly climbed up the tree behind, evading the leopards attacks. He scaled the tree after you, as you swiped at him with your spear. He pounced at you, but you jumped off the branch grabbed a vine, swung around, and kicked the leopard off the tree.

You swung down, attempting to stab the feline, but it rolled aside and tackled you. You both fell back into the roots of a tree, as it tried to claw at you. You used the roots to your advantage and dodged his attacks. Finally, you made it out of the roots and ended up at the side of a cliff. You prepared your spear, just as the beast lunged at you.

You both tumbled down the cliff side, as you pierced the leopards hide. His body collapsed onto top of you, worsening his damage, as you shakily got up. You pushed the body off of you and tugged out your spear. Moments later, loud shrieking and cheering filled the jungle as the gorillas praised your victory.

"Okay, everybody, move aside, out of my way, best friend coming through. That would be me. And you, don't make a habit of that, okay? There are other ways of getting attention, you know?" Jxk looked pointedly at you, hiding her concern.

"I'll try to remember that." You smiled.

"All right, and I was right behind you..." She muttered a bit, as you rolled your eyes. A gunshot filled the area, causing everyone to become silent.

"Where did that come from?" You mumbled, looking around.

"Hey, it wasn't me, I swear! Okay, maybe it was..." Lithuania muttered, not even sure of himself.

"Everyone, let's move!" A Swedish accent ordered. You looked over to see the giant Gorilla stand up and begin to lead everyone away. He noticed you staring and sent a glare, before proceeding himself. Another gunshot rang and with a bit of hesitation, you slipped from the group to go check it out. If you were lucky you'd find more humans.

You swung through some trees and found yourself entering an area with a ton of bamboo. You climbed higher to stay in the trees, when you heard the gunshot right below you. You carefully peeked through the branches in hopes of finding the source. You were surprised at what you saw.

Below you, you saw the Hetalian character Switzerland with a gun. He aimed it at anything he saw move. You better stay pretty still for now. Suddenly a familiar Italian emerged beside him.

"Zwingli, Zwingli, where the h*** are we? What is it that keeps making you shoot that thing? Are we in danger?!" Romano started to freak out, hiding behind Switzerland.

"I thought I saw something." Switzerland muttered bluntly, cocking his gun.

"Oh, g**. I hope it's not a hippo or a rhino, d*** it could have even been a poisonous frog!" Romano began to flip out, again, as Switzerland growled.

"Professor, don't move!" He stated, trying to withhold his anger.

"Ah, right!" Romano froze in place.

"Lovi, what's all the commotion about? What is it, Lovi?" Your face heated up hearing the voice and then seeing the person. Spain emerged from beside Lovino and to be flat out honest, you thought he looked even more hot in person. But you couldn't really approached, especially with how you looked now.

"Shut up, Zwingli asked me not to move. He saw something. D***, I moved." Lovino let out a string of curse words, as Spain merely laughed and went to Switzerland.

"Basch, sorry, excuse me, uh, but Lovino and I came on this expedition to study gorillas, and I think your shooting might be scaring them off." Spain pointed out as nicely as he could.
