Chapter 5 - Happy Ending?

“Hop! Come this way!” You looked up to see Julchen above you, trying to lead you away from the fire. You did as said and climbed up the wall, only to now find yourself at the edge of a cliff. Sadik reared at you, as you tried to slash him away. You found yourself trying to keep your balance. With a swift blast of fire, Sadik knocked your shield out of your hand and it tumbled down into the abyss.

You hear Sadik laugh, as your three friends began to combine their magic and aimed it at your sword.

“Now sword of truth fly swift and sure, that evil die and good endure!” Marianne shouted. Without a second thought, you threw the sword at Sadik and it nailed him directly in the chest. With one last attempt, he charged at you. You dodged to the side, as he tumbled down the cliffside in a ball of fire. You didn’t look down, not wanting to see the results as the sound of battle disappeared.

You hurried up the stone steps, to where your bedroom laid. The Bad Touch Trio trailed behind you, as you made your way up the stairs. You entered into your tower and recognized the regal room. With one glance around the room, your eyes fell on Heracles. He laid on your bed in a current eternal sleep.

You carefully stepped over and looked down at him. He looked so handsome and at peace while he slept and you couldn’t help, but smile. Slowly, with a bit of hesitation, you leaned down and placed your lips against his. It was a quick kiss, as you pulled away. You watched, waiting for something to happen, before Heracles began to shift a bit.

Moments later, Heracles woke up. He noticed you standing there and began to smile a  bit. He yawned and sat up.

“What happened? Not that I’m complaining about that kiss.” He asked, as you blushed a little.

“You’ll have to explain later, for now, you both should get dressed.” Marianne interrupted. You and Heracles looked to each other, before looking back to Marianne.

“Because, you have a ball to attend.”

You and Heracles walked down the stone steps arm in arm. You now wore a new and different dress (since yours was kind of destroyed, while fighting Sadik), and Heracles wore some more princely like clothes. No one would notice, but you both kept your clothes simple, since commoner clothes turned out to be more comfy. You both entered a lit ballroom and found the room filled with royalty.

“It's ___, she's here!” You looked over and your jawdropped. Your father and mother stood at the edge of their thrones and smiled as you raced over.

“And Heracles!” You looked over to see a familiar Roman empire. He was jaw dropped, as he looked from you to Heracles. You smiled a bit, before turning back to your parents and giving both of them a hug.

“What does this mean, Heracles? I don’t…" Rome trailed off, not knowing what to say. You grinned and leaned over, giving him a kiss on the cheek. His face lit up a bit, as he looked to you. He opened his mouth to speak, but thought otherwise and let you go back to Heracles. Heracles took your hand and led you out onto the ballroom floor.

Some music started up, as you both began to dance across the floor. It resembled a lot like how you both danced in the forest. You didn’t notice it, but your dress shifted colors a couple of times.

~I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream.~

You smiled up at Heracles, as he twirled you around.

~I know you, the gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam.~

You both continued to dance, but slowly, you began to have a bad feeling enter into your mind.

~And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem, but if I know you I know what you'll do.~

Heracles began to lean in to kiss you, again.

~You'll love me at once, the way you did, once upon a dream.~

Before Heracles lips could meet yours, the ground underneath the both of you rumble. You heard a ferocious roar outside and your eyes widened. You should have made sure Sadik was finished of, you should of! You heard your father send out some guards, as Heracles put an arm around you.

“What was that?” He murmured to himself. Suddenly, the roof of the room you were in was torn off, a dozen or so chunks of stone falling around the ballroom. A familiar reptilian face emerged and glared at both you and Heracles.

“So, you really did think it would be that easy to get rid of me?” Sadik hissed. Heracles drew his sword, but it was quickly knocked out of his grip by Sadik’s tail. Marianne, Julchen, and Isabel flew down to help you, but they were easily swiped out of the air. Sadik reached out and grabbed you with one of his claws. You struggled in his grip, as he snarled out you. “I’m about to return the favor that you gave to me!”

His grip tightened and once you ran out of breath, you lost consciousness.
